Gerry has over 25 years of experience as a CFO in the technology industry. His association with Dave Clements goes back more than 20 years. In 2005, Dave and Gerry launched Lasso CRM, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) company that delivers market leading CRM solutions to the real estate industry. In 1996, they were founding members of Burntsand Inc., an Internet technology and software services company that grew to $50M in revenue by 2000. Prior to Burntsand, Gerry was CFO at INS Telecommunications Inc. (“Insinc”), a telecommunications company that was acquired in 1994 and subsequently operated under Sprint Canada. Gerry received his CA designation from the BC Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1987, and, prior to entering the technology sector, he articled and worked as an auditing manager with KPMG from 1984-1990.

 

In addition to setting up the financial operations of Lasso CRM, Burntsand Inc., and Insinc, Gerry’s experience included handling several private and public financing transactions as well as a number of acquisition transactions on both the buy and sell side, setting up and managing stock options and other incentive programs, and taking two companies public on the Toronto Stock Exchange. 

 

Gerry’s goal with the Performax Group is to help implement, manage, and utilize financial processes and measurements that enable management to focus on the aspects of their business that drive growth, profitability and value. 

 

Gerry and his wife Sue live in Coquitlam, BC, and also enjoy spending time in Whistler, BC, hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter. He is an avid cyclist and has competed in the master amateur category in races worldwide. He has competed in a number of triathlons, including the 2015 Ironman Canada. Gerry was an Ironman All World Athlete in 2015, ranking in the top 2% globally in his age category in triathlons run by Ironman.
